দেশের উচ্চশিক্ষার মান নিশ্চিত করণ ও অ্যাক্রেডিটেশন প্রদানের লক্ষ্যে ২০১৮ সালে প্রতিষ্ঠা করা হয়েছে বাংলাদেশ অ্যাক্রেডিটেশন কাউন্সিল

নিজস্ব প্রতিনিধি : বাংলাদেশ সরকার ইতোমধ্যে ‘বাংলাদেশ ন্যাশনাল কোয়ালিফিকেশনস ফ্রেমওয়ার্ক’ প্রণয়ন করেছে। কাউন্সিল এ ফ্রেমওয়ার্ক বাস্তবায়নের কাজ করছে।

দেশের সকল উচ্চশিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানে ফ্রেমওয়ার্ক বাস্তবায়নের মাধ্যমে উচ্চশিক্ষা কে সমাজের প্রয়োজনের সাথে সঙ্গতিপূর্ণ করা এবং মানসম্মত শিক্ষা নিশ্চিত করা কাউন্সিলের জন্য এখনও বড় চ্যালেঞ্জ । কাউন্সিলের কার্যক্রম কে সর্বাত্মক ও সফলভাবে এগিয়ে নেয়ার জন্য উচ্চশিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান এবং উচ্চশিক্ষার সাথে সংশ্লিষ্ট সকল সুবিধাভোগীর পরামর্শ ও সহযোগিতার জন্যে বাংলাদেশ অ্যাক্রেডিটেশন কাউন্সিল দেশের বরেণ্য শিক্ষাবিদ, পেশাজীবী, গণমাধ্যম ব্যক্তিত্ব, সমাজের বিশিষ্ট জন এবং উচ্চ শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান পরিচালনার সাথে সংশ্লিষ্ট জনদের অংশগ্রহণে Quality Assurance and Accreditation: A New Initiative in Higher Education বিষয়ে সেমিনার আয়োজন করেছে।

আলোচকগণ দেশের উচ্চশিক্ষার মান নিশ্চিত করণের জন্য বাংলাদেশ অ্যাক্রেডিটেশন কাউন্সিলের গৃহীত বিভিন্ন কার্যক্রমের ভূয়সী প্রশংসা করেন। এছাড়া ইন্ডাস্ট্রি ও উচ্চশিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানের মধ্যে কোলাবোরেশনের উপর গুরুত্বারোপ করেন। আলোচকবৃন্দ কাউন্সিলের কার্যক্রম গতিশীল করার বিষয়ে বিভিন্ন গুরুত্ব পূর্ণ মতামত প্রদান করেন।

Bangladesh Accreditation Council Ensuring the Quality of Higher Education
Bangladesh Accreditation Council was established in 2018 to ensure the quality of higher education in the country and provide accreditation. The Government of Bangladesh has already formulated the ‘Bangladesh National Qualifications Framework’. The Council is working on the implementation of this framework. Aligning higher education with the needs of society and ensuring quality education by implementing the framework in all higher education institutions of the country is still a major challenge for the Council. Bangladesh Accreditation Council for the advice and cooperation of higher education institutions and all the beneficiaries related to higher education to carry forward the activities of the council comprehensively and successfully Bangladesh Accreditation Council with the participation of eminent academicians, professionals, media personalities, prominent members of the society, and those related to the management of higher education institutions Quality Assurance and Accreditation: A New Initiative in Organized seminars on Higher Education.

Today the full-time member of the council Professor Dr. S. M. Kabir presented a keynote in an open discussion session and Prof.Dr. Mesbahuddin AhmedBangladesh Accreditation Council Chairman moderated the meeting. Prominent educationist Professor Syed Manjurul Islam, Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal; and Professor AK Azad Chowdhury participated in the discussion.

The negotiators highly appreciated the various activities undertaken by the Bangladesh Accreditation Council to ensure the quality of higher education in the country. Besides, he emphasized collaboration between industry and higher education institutions. The negotiators offered various important views on mobilizing the activities of the Council.
